The top-class trade fair in Spain in the field of safety also showed in 2020 which trends, innovations and products are currently dominating the industry.

Spanish safety industry is on the rise

Hardly any sector in Spain is currently growing as strongly as the safety industry. In the past few years, sales of Spanish safety companies have increased by almost 5% to around EUR 4.3 billion - with a very positive forecast for the future. Accordingly, SICUR was also well attended this year.

The international trade fair for security and fire protection, which has been held in Madrid every two years since 1980, brings together public and private security companies, associations and experts. From February 25th, 2020 to February 28th, 2020, 650 exhibitors welcomed over 40,000 visitors from 80 countries to the IFEMA exhibition center in Madrid.

Trade fair appearance with our partner ADEKUA

Together with our longstanding partner ADEKUA, we also presented the latest trends in occupational safety at SICUR. In order to support the ADEKUA team on site, a small delegation around our authorized signatory Christoph Reiter traveled from Kirchham to Madrid. To their enthusiasm, our products were extremely popular and led many visitors to the attractively designed exhibition stand. Many interesting conversations and discussions showed great potential for future projects. Particular attention was paid to the vivid presentation of our versatile all-in-one (AIO) lifeline system, which is very popular on the Spanish market. Both the passable lifeline system with our innovative AIO-ENDS-10 end lock and the AIO-SZH-10 intermediate bracket as well as the non-passable lifeline system with AIO-ENDS-50 and AIO-SZH-13 as the end lock and intermediate rope bracket were demonstrated.

Next event: HS2E in Berlin

If, like many others, the event is not canceled due to the Corona Virus, we will participate in the HS2E Forum in Berlin from 24th to 26th March. As part of this German-speaking forum, specialists from occupational health and safety, environmental and energy management and sustainability meet to discuss current issues in the industry. Do not miss the workshop of our expert on the topic "Safe working in positions at risk of falling" on day 2! In May 2020, the next trade fairs in Austria and Switzerland are already planned with the Forum Prävention in Innsbruck and the ArbeitsSicherheit Schweiz in Bern.
