TAURUS fastening on tiled roofs for rail systems
TAURUS-BEF-42 Rail fastener BEF-42 for rail systems
The TAURUS-BEF-42 has been specially developed for fixing the TAURUS-HORIZONTAL rail system to pitched roofs. The height-adjustable fixing ensures the TAURUS rail system is installed with safety, close to the roof, directly onto the rafters. The system is also ideally suited to roofs subject to heritage protection. The wide lateral adjustment range ensures maximum flexibility during installation on corrugated tiles.
Maximum flexibility during installation, as the height-adjustable BEF and the wide lateral adjustment range easily accommodate different tile heights and shapes – ideal for corrugated tiles.
Visually unobtrusive integration into the roofline, as the TAURUS rail runs close to the roof when used with the TAURUS BEF-42 – ideal for visible areas or sensitive buildings such as listed properties.
Reduced installation effort, as no recesses need to be cut in the underlying tiles when installing the TAURUS-BEF-42
TAURUS-BEF-42 - Technical data
The TAURUS-BEF-42 forms the connection between the TAURUS rail and the rafters on tiled roofs. The installation is carried out directly at the centre of the rafter in the trough of the roof, ensuring maximum stability with a wide variety of tile types. Thanks to the BEF’s height adjustment, differences in tile height can be compensated for. Where a PV system is already installed on a pitched roof, the rail isfitted above the array of PV modules. Safety is ensured by using a leaning ladder in combination with an EAP, SDH or SLING system.
Substrates: Wood (min. 12/6 cm or as per the installation instructions)
Material: V2A stainless steel (AISI 304)
For fixing the TAURUS-RAIL to wooden rafters
Adjustable height of the fixing element
The BEF can be adjusted in height and thus adapts to different tile heights – ensuring a stable support without damaging the roofing material.
Direct fixing to the centre of the rafter in the valley of the roof
The mounting takes place directly within the structurally optimal area – ensuring reliable load transfer and high compatibility with various tile models.
Positioning above the PV modules
The TAURUS rail is usually – provided a PV system is in place – mounted above the array of modules. In combination with systems such as EAP, SDH or SLING, this creates a seamless, safe solution for access to and egress from the roof.
