Fall protection: Your personal protective equipment
Reliable connection between people and safety systems
Your personal fall protection: working
at height without risk thanks to PPE
During installation, servicing and other work at height, skilled workers must go beyond guardrails and other collective protective measures in order to reach their destination. A fall from these often dizzying heights would be fatal! For this reason, we at INNOTECH have developed various elements of personal protective equipment for fall protection systems.
Our customer satisfaction proves it: our customised solutions reliably protect your employees and ensure a smooth workflow in your company.
Whether on roofs, scaffolding or facades, our personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPE) is essential for the individual safety of your employees!
1. Functional & combinable:
When developing our products, we only accept the very highest quality standards. That is why our PPE is particularly durable and functional and can be perfectly combined with all INNOTECH systems.
2. Intuitive use:
Professional training in our safety solutions is required by law – and essential to ensure that the equipment is used correctly. However, the technology is deliberately designed to be user-friendly, so that your teams can concentrate fully on their actual tasks.
3. Tailored to your business:
Working at height is part of everyday life in many industries. Our range offers certified technology that covers a wide range of applications. You are therefore guaranteed to find the ideal solution for your business.

Versatile fall protection: possible areas of application for PPE
Typical areas of application for our PPE include working on roofs, on facades or in shafts. However, there is also a risk of falling in many situations that you might not immediately think of:
- Day-to-day work in a high-bay warehouse
- Servicing, loading and unloading vehicles
- Working next to and with machines and in industry/production
- And much more
- Our experts are available for an initial consultation. They will answer all your questions and get an initial impression of your situation. During this consultation, the INNOTECH professionals will inform you about all system components and legal requirements.
- On request, we will then be happy to provide you with a quote tailored to your company or process your order immediately. We are also available at any time for repeat orders or advice if you are interested in adding to your existing equipment.
- If you wish, our certified specialists or one of our trained installation partners will also install the required components on your premises (e.g. rail safety or lifeline systems).
Fall protection with belts as personal protective equipment
Depending on the area of application, choosing the right PSA-STRING is one of the most important factors when working in areas where there is a risk of falling. For this reason, INNOTECH has four harness systems and a special airbag vest in its range.
> EASY
The PSA-STRING-1-EASY model has fall-arrest eyelets at both the front and rear, making it ideal for all applications where a fall protection system is required.
> BASIC
Even in the basic version, PSA-STRING-1-BASIC, this harness model has all the necessary and prescribed safety devices and is ideal for occasional use.
> COMFORT
All-round activities that need to be carried out regularly require the Comfort version. The PSA-STRING-1-COMFORT is also the perfect companion for slightly longer assignments.
> PRO
Our Pro model is designed for facade builders or industrial climbers and for continuous use. The robust PSA-STRING-1-PRO safety harness guarantees optimum freedom of movement and offers a high level of wearing comfort.
> WORKAIR vest
There are situations in which professional safety measures using a safety harness are not practical, for example, when the fall height is low. The PSA-STRING-WORKAIR uses sensors to detect a fall and activates the integrated airbag.
To ensure that you have all the equipment you need, we offer the PSA-SET-BASIC for universal use and the PSA-SET-ROOF for working on steep roofs!
What is personal protective equipment?
INNOTECH's personal protective equipment (PPE) includes all equipment that employees wear or use at work to protect themselves from the risk of falling when working at heights. This includes, for example, belt systems, PPE lanyards and associated equipment such as a sturdy helmet. PPE is always required when there are no general fall protection systems in place or when hazards cannot be avoided by such measures.
What does PPE against falls from a height include?
INNOTECH offers various components for adequate PPE. These include PPE-strings, i.e. harness systems, important accessories such as hard hats and PPE lanyards, which connect the personal protective equipment to the anchor points. Our experts also install the necessary lifeline and rail safety systems.
When must the PPE be replaced?
It is essential to check the PPE before each use for visible damage such as tears. If any defects are found during this inspection, the protective equipment must not be used under any circumstances! In addition, an assessment must be carried out by a qualified person at least once a year. The information in the operating instructions must also be followed - this is the only way to ensure safe working at heights with PPE.
When should PPE against falls from a height be used?
Personal protective equipment against falls from a height must always be used when collective protective measures are lacking or insufficient to eliminate the hazard. As a fall from a height of two metres poses an acute risk to life and limb, appropriate fall protection systems are required by law from this height.
What storage requirements apply to PPE?
The following applies to the storage of protective equipment: It is essential to observe the relevant instructions in the manual! In general, it is important to choose a cool, dry and, above all, clean place to store PPE in order to prevent contamination or damage. When storing belts, you should also ensure that they do not become tangled. We therefore recommend hanging them up or storing them flat. Heavy objects should never be placed on the belts.
Do I need training to use PPE?
Yes, only persons who have been trained in the use of PPE may use it. Training is essential for the correct use of the systems and is required by law.
How often must PPE be tested?
A test must be carried out by a qualified person once a year, but all components of personal protective equipment should be checked by the user themselves before each use. If cracks, deformations or other defects are found, the PPE must no longer be used!
Fall protection system using rail safety and lifeline systems
Rail safety and lifeline systems play a central role in personal fall protection – they are the link between the user and the safety system. By attaching the PPE to the rail / lifeline, they enable horizontal, vertical or inclined movement in hazardous areas. Both the lifeline and rail safety systems can be mounted on various substrates, from concrete to steel to wood, and can also be attached to substructures.
> Lifeline systems
Horizontally or vertically tensioned ropes ensure a high degree of flexibility of movement and adapt perfectly to your building structures. In addition to roofs, they are also frequently used in industrial halls. Safe movement on the stainless steel cable is ensured by a lanyard connected to the belt.
> Rail systems
In these systems, personal protective equipment is attached to anchorage rails using connectors. These are characterised by their vertical and/or horizontal application, allowing a combination of directions when moving from one level to another. Securing from the ground via ladders and crossovers works just as smoothly as on roofs. Securing workplaces via stairs is also no problem. The high stability of the rails also allows them to be used in particularly difficult environments, such as on facades.
