The LIGHT skylight protection system, consisting of a sturdy steel mesh basket, offers visually appealing protection against falls for all persons in the danger zone of lighting elements. The custom-made production of the LIGHT system variant lays the foundation for a stylish solution for necessary fall protection for lighting elements. Recesses and curves are no problem. The customisation of the colour scheme completes the attractive appearance: LIGHT blends in perfectly with the existing architecture thanks to its customisable shape and colour. Installation takes place directly in the light well without affecting the appearance or statics of the roof and can therefore also be carried out retrospectively. The optimised mesh size of the grille allows maximum light and smoke permeability.

LIGHT SKYLIGHT PROTECTION SYSTEM - Technical data

The LIGHT skylight protection system consists of a galvanised steel mesh cage that reliably prevents falls from a height of 1.2 metres. The mesh basket is manufactured to fit the skylight precisely using a measurement sheet. This means that variable sizes and designs are available, including rounded versions, for example. A maximum mesh size of 100 x 100 mm ensures high light and smoke permeability. Cut-outs for the skylight opening mechanism and other objects in the light well can also be customised.

PRODUCT UPDATES

When retrofitting fall-through protection devices in natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NRHVs) in accordance with EN 12101-2, it must be checked whether the component is already included in the original approval. If this proof is missing, a new test in accordance with Art. 17 of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) is required. The test report required for this is available on our website. Alternatively, the BARRIER-VARIO-SKYLIGHT product can usually be used.
